Alfelor Supported by Liberal Party
Liberal Party volunteers in the fourth district of Camarines Sur (Partido Area), declared their support for the Lakas-Kampi-CMD gubernatorial standard bearer, Cong. Felix "Nancing" R. Alfelor, Jr., in a meeting conducted last Sunday, April 18, 2010 in Goa, Camarines Sur.
Volunteers, who are part of the 500 strong who attended for the 4th District of the province, who were interviewed said that this is because of Alfelor's anti-corruption and pro-poor platform of government.
"We believe in his capacity to make the provincial government of Camarines Sur work for the improvement of the quality of lives of the poor. His track record in Rinconada shows that he truly has a heart for the marginalized sector." They added.
When asked about his reaction to the support of the local Liberal Party leaders, Alfelor said that he truly appreciates and recognizes their support.
"I am very humbled by their sympathy and enthusiasm in campaigning for me. This means that I am on the right track and that my dreams for the province are really appreciated and needed by the people of the province." Alfelor said.
It is notable that all Liberal Party candidates in the local political scene supports Alfelor for Governor. Former Mayor Ruben Medroso, Liberal Party standard bearer for Mayor of Calabanga, and lady lawyer Atty. Noreen San Luis who is running for Mayor in Pili are ardent supporters of Alfelor. Even in towns where Lakas-Kampi-CMD have candidates, Liberal Party candidates are endorsing Alfelor and these are vote-rich municipalities.
"I am truly thankful for their support and so I hope that the people of Camarines Sur can give me their mandate so I can return their goodwill with sincere public service and transparent governance." Alfelor said.
In attendance in the said assembly was lawyer, Ted Cruz, who is running for Congress in the District and representing the line-up of the Lakas-Kampi-CMD.
